Allow me to give you some background on who I am and why I paint what I paint.
I started painting full time in 1999 after I was successfully selling my first small pastel paintings and today I have successfully sold over 2000 paintings and even more art prints. Because of persistence & hard work, but mostly true enjoyment I have become a prolific successful artist. Hopefully my art is invoking happy emotions, pleasant memories to the onlooker.
My work encompasses watercolors and ink and oil paintings and I tend to lean toward impressionism and post impressionism but after so many years have developed my own more modern style especially in watercolors and ink.I paint whatever I am interested in at the moment but whatever I paint comes from my heart and soul. While there are not always deep moving stories behind each painting, the overriding story is that I live my childhood now. Painting is my way of experiencing innocence, freedom and happiness, that’s the main motivation I paint. I will never stop. As a child I wanted to paint, and I did, I was a real innocent created soul.
That’s why I paint. I am making up for what was stolen from me, now I can immerse myself into my worlds, with imagination, with innocence, I create on canvas or paper the places I travel to with my brushstrokes, unmolested by anyone. So that’s the story. Today I am my own master, nobody can force me to do anything I do not want to do. You can call me a happy painter.
